Im suffering from pain in pelvic area since 3 weeks. The pain stays all the day. I have visited a doctor and the ultrasound reports were normal. I feel relieved after passing bowels but it pains in the pelvic area while passing bowel. Sometimes i feel diarrhoea and sometimes it is like constipation. Period is normal and on time. Please help me out.
Irritable bowel issues, please try mebeverine and chlordiazepoxide.
Detailed Answer:
Hi!
1. These are the classic symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome. The alternating diarrhea and constipation, and the bloating that is relieved by passing stools. You mention pain and discomfort in the pelvic region, and having been examined by a doctor physically, we are safe to presume that you do not have any disease of a particular organ.
2. Milder form of this condition can be relieved with lifestyle changes. If severe, I would ask you to visit a doctor because you need a prescription for drugs, namely chlordiazepoxide and mebeverine. I feel that a low dose of amytryptiline will also help the issues, as IBS is stress induced in many persons.
3. I would suggest dicyclomine to relieve the pain. This is used by women to relieve menstrual pain issues and also works for IBS, the sort of pain that you experience in the pelvic region.
4. You mention your periods being normal, so we can rule out any OBGYN intervention.

Thanks for the response.
Can you please brief me on the number of times i have to take this medicine course and for how many days?
I had a sharp pain both on left n righht side of the pelvic area kn lifting a heavy luggage. Please do let me know about the course.
Mebeverine is taken for a month.
Detailed Answer:
Hi!
You need to take dicyclomine twice a day and Mebeverine and Chlordiazepoxide once at bedtime after dinner. Mebeverine, will have to be taken for a duration of time that will heal and palliate the bowels. I am looking at one month duration.
However, you will need dicyclomine only when you get pain.
I suggest that you do not stress yourself physically for a few days.
If Dicyclomine does not help you in 24 hours, then write back to me.
Thanks,
