Hi Stanandshiley
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
I need to know the nature of the rash before commenting on whether it is due to the medicine or some other cause. So kindly upload the pictures of the rash so that it can be properly evaluated.

How long does it take meds to get out of your system and how long will the rash remain?

There are not other possibilities. Nothing new exposures,no new clothes,no animals,no new detergents,no new foods.would not have gone off med if there was another explanation. It came up looking like shingles, whelts and bumpy.

I have seen the attached photograph and I don't think this is related to the medicine you have taken that is xeralto as it mainly causes bleeding as a side effect and rarely itching and blisters. Your rash looks like an eczema. I would treat my patients with clobetasol propionate cream. Along with this I would give them loratidine in the morning and diphenhydramine at night. I don't know whether these medicines will be available over the counter in your country.

If you look a little farther you will see one side affect is rash. I agree that the main one is bleeding.

I have searched the literature and I don't think it is due to the medicine. Rash due to the medicine would have been more generalised rather than affecting a small area of the body. As far as eczema is concerned it is not always due to external factors. It can be endogenous as well due to internal sensitivity of the individual.
