I have been on permethrin for 5 weeks. Why isn't it working? The itching is drivig me crazy, especially when trying to sleep.
Also, I have been on Myrbetriq for 18+ weeks. It worked like a miracle, then suddenly stopped. I can't get in to see my urologist for 8 weeks. I've been leaving home even less than ever due to bladder control issues. Is it normal for it to suddenly stop working? I've had to put off a trip with my father and sisters. It's frustrating.

In severe scabies with high mite burden repeated treatment may be necessary. The itching may persist for a few weeks after application and may even worsen.
In recurrent disease oral ivermectin can be combined with topical scabicidal agents.
Mirabegron used for overactive bladder can be effective at 25 mg orally once a day at weeks. Other factors like an urinary tract infection, high blood sugar and drugs can cause worsening of the OAB. However dose can be increased up to 50 mg to see for optimum effect.
