Suggest Treatment For Persistent Vomiting And Nausea

Question: My 19 year old son has had periods of nausea with vomitting over the past week. He is fine until he tries to eat something and then get nauseous and vomits. It has not happened with every meal. He will take a bite or two and then vomit and be nauseous for awhile. No fever, no diarrhea, no gassiness, he does have some epigastric pain. the rest of the time he is fine and is able to eat without this happening.
Brief answer....he seems to be suffering from acute gastritis
Detailed answer...
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
Going by your symptoms and history,it appears that your son is suffering from acute gastritis which means inflammation of inner lining of stomach.
It is generally caused by consuming excess of alcohol or spicy foods or oily and deep fried foods.
Treatment....
Give him MECLIZINE three times a day along with PANTOPROZOLE 40 mg twice daily .He should be all right in next 48 hours.
In case there is no improvement then consult a doctor for further management.
I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
