Question : Reacurrent petechiae on my sons palate also on his body? No low platelets and all blood work has been normal. Since Sept 2016 my son has been getting petechiae on his palate. It hurts him at the start but he can eat and drink and it goes away within a day or two. It still happening till this day and no clear answer from doctors. I have been noticing more on his body and doctors say it they are not concerned and think it just might be scratching. Last blood work was done mid Oct 2016 and no low platelets. No fever No easy bruising No nose bleed No bleeding gums and No frequent infections. What can be the cause of the reacurrent petechiae on his soft palate and some on his body?

He has petechiae on soft palate and other body parts. His platelets count and other blood counts are normal. He doesn't have any bleeding or fever or other signs of infection. So there is no any serious cause .

It can be due to some viral infection or vitamins deficiency or some unknown cause. No treatment is required. Just take plenty of fluid orally and take proper nutrition with vitamin C supplements.

Don't worry much about that. Just be relaxed.
