Brief Answer:
May take a few days for recovery to occur

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. Pharyngitis or sore throat can be caused due to some bacteria like Streptococcus (causes Strep throat) or some viruses like Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) (causes mono). Such episodes can be associated with fever or feverishness. Irrespective of the cause, all you need to do is to gurgle with lukewarm water and recovery will occur in a week or so. So, you should not expect to see any changes so early. The medicines are proper and please continue them.

Please be patient. Let me know if I could help further.

Regards

Hi, thank you for answering. Is constant fever normal in this, even after taking calpol? Even now, my temperature hasn't come down. In fact, it has sore to 103 and there is a lot of uneasiness. Is there any particular diet, fruits that I should have, for faster recovery?
When will the uneasiness & fever cease, will it take at least 5 days for sure?

Brief Answer:
Try Ibugesic Plus instead of Calpol

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. Fever can be associated but I would not consider continuous temperture 'normal'. If the temperature does not get controlled with Calpol, try Ibugesic Plus or Combiflam instead. If even that does not suffice, try Meftal P which is even more effective. As such, no particular diet or fruits will help in faster recovery. However, eating fresh fruits and vegetables would be advisable.

Usually recovery occurs in 5-7 days. But what actually would happen remains to be seen.
