Brief Answer:
Full diet + laxatives+ regular check-up

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query for your brother.

The procedure is called Banding of the piles and is done in grade II piles.

The diet and the precautions:
First of all I would like you to tell your brother to avoid constipation at any cost.

Another important part is to avoid the foods and / beverages which cause constipation, if he has noticed.

My advice to all my patients with piles is to have a home-made full-diet with green leafy vegetables, bhindi, dahi. The idea again is to have normal solid motion and NOT hard motion.
To avoid constipation he can take the laxatives in the form of Isapgol or Cremaffin plus liquid 1 to 2 tsf at bedtime or Gerbisa. Try to change the medicines after a few days so that he is not addicted to any of these. Try one laxative at a time. You discuss about laxatives with your doctor.

Get a regular check-up done by a Surgeon so that the progress or recurrence is known in time.

I hope this answer helps your brother to have a trouble-free life. Please feel free to ask for more if you need to or if you feel any gap-of-communication.
