Suggest Treatment For Pin Worm Infection

Question: I may have a pinworm infection. Attached is a photo, & cc of recent bloodwork. I was recently diagnosed with an under active thyroid. Help me connect the dots.

Thank your for contacting HCM with your health care concerns.

You submitted a photo of what looks like your rectum. Unfortunately you can not diagnose pinworms byt visual inspection. The only way to diagnose pinworms is to take a swab of the rectum and look for the eggs from parasites. The only thing I see here is some redness and stool. No worms seen

The blood work you also submitted is normal. the isolated elevation in platelets is nothing by itself and the eosinophil counts is also noting

There is no lab tests for your thyroid hormone so I can't make any comment about your thyroid tests.

I recommend if you feel strongly that you have pinworms that you see your doctor and have them do the scotch tape test and see if you have pinworms.
