Suggest Treatment For Plugged Ear And Nausea

default
Posted on Thu, 28 Jul 2016
Question: I have had a plugged ear for a month now. I have been to a GP who attempted to rinse out my ear but this did not result in clearing my ear. I have tried olive oil, hydrogen peroxide and cermasol drops. I am told that there is a blockage so they cannot see my eardrum and therefore do not know if it is infected, however, based on the pain I was feeling a few weeks ago I did receive a prescription for antibiotics for 7 days. It may have cleared up an infection because I have not had any severe pain since then but I do have an aching feeling from time to time and feeling of pressure. It feels like I can't think straight and I am feeling very frustrated. Last night I woke up with nausea that seemed to trigger when I rolled over on a different side. This is a new symptom. Any ideas?

Brief Answer:
You are most probably having impacted ear wax .

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.

I have read your query , reviewed your medications and understand your concern.

After reading your clinical history it appears that you are most probably having impacted ear wax . Impacted ear wax is difficult to get out with olive oil, hydrogen peroxide and cermasol drops. It is giving you feeling of pressure , aching , vertigo & nausea .

If I were your treating Doctor for this case , I would advice
Consult ENT specialist for ear examination & ear wax removal procedure with microsuction.
You will get relief after the procedure .

Don't put olive oil, hydrogen peroxide and cermasol drops in impacted ear wax case , ear wax will swell up & result into more pain , pressure in ear .

Hope this information helpful to you .If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.

Regards.
