Suggest Treatment For Possible Ingestion Of Rat Poison

Question: The accommodation I live in has a lot of rats and I bought mortein rat kill for them on 2/10/2016. I broke a piece and put it around the floor. On 3/10/2016 I broke another piece which happened to become powder like and flew in the air and fell around the area. I didn't observe some small fragments were present on the table where I had kept luggage and a few water bottles. Yesterday I found a small back lump like thing in my bed and threw it away. Today I got all the powder removed and got the room cleaned. I have a weak eyesight, could I have ingested the rat kill? What should I do incase I believe that it accidentally entered my mouth as a small particle?
Brief Answer:
No symptoms of rat poison poisoning.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
See the exposure you had with the rat cake is insignificant and I feel that everyone who use rat cake or powder gets that much exposure.
So, I would not suspect rat poison poisoning in your case description.
Moreover a small particle is not going to harm you or cause any symptoms.
Just drink plenty of water and if you develop and bleeding , vomiting , pain Abdomen, consult your doctor.
Good luck.

Can it cause palpitations also as a symptom?
Brief Answer:
Very unlikely now
Detailed Answer:
Hi, More then 24 hours have elapsed and it's very unlikely that you are poisoned.
Moreover, palpitations could be just due to anxiety that you might be having.
A nice idea is to see a doctor and get a check up done, so that you get relaxed as well as a perfect opinion too.
Take Care.
