Suggest Treatment For Post-inflammatory Hyperpigmentation

Question: My baby is 7 months old now, when he was 4 months old he had gotten a red spot on his cheek (below the eye where even a grownup's skin is very thin), which I assumed to be a mosquito bite. However, soon it developed a minor puss, and it looked more like an acne, but went away within two days. I noticed however that that place turned red and was sensitive for weeks after that. It is still visible now, there is a tiny tiny black spot in its place. I noticed that around it developed 2-3 additional black spots. They do not look like blackheads, they are smaller and not very visible, but only sometimes that area turns red. I asked his doctor, who didn't look at it, but said it will go away. Could it be some bacteria that is spreading and needs to be treated?
Brief Answer:
Seems to be post inflammatory hyperpigmentation
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
I have gone through your complaints and reviewed the attached photograph.
It seems to be post inflammatory hyperpigmentation occuring secondary to that earlier infection along few moles.
There is no need to worry as it will take few more months to resolve.
It is not at all a bacterial infection that is spreading.
