Suggest Treatment For Post Nasal Drip And Granular Pharyngitis

In April I had successive unusual symptoms: first my throat looked like a golf course with white patches (which never happened to me here in the US). I got antibiotics, strep throat came back negative though, and it resolved. But afterwards, I noticed small bumps on my soft palate and it really bugged me. Went to the Dr again and he said there was post nasal drip... gave me a steroid shot. Got a little better and almost completely went away. I felt almost normal for a while. XXXXXXX now, I had oral sex with my husband (related or not I don't know??) and the day after not only my tongue was white and the small bumps came back. The condition seems to worsen during the day. When I wake up in the morning, it's like "dormant" and I can barely feel it (but stil can see it - see pictures). As the day progresses, it feels worse, the lesions/bumps/granules get worse, the back of my mouth gets very sensitive and my tongue burns too, palate can get itchy as well. My tongue doesn't look super healthy either with white dots (not patches) from middle to the back of the tongue. I visited an ENT who prescribed a compound containing steroid and I don't know what the rest is. Doesn't seem to make it better. It's been about 2 weeks now. I have a history of smoking (little but for a long time - now menthol cigarettes, about 4-5 a day and only smoke about a third of each cigarette). Can you please look at the pictures and tell me what this could be? I'm a vocalist and this is driving me nuts. I've been looking for every possible condition including cancer but can't find anything that looks like it. Closest seems to be granulate pharyngitis but the thing is that I do not have a pharyngitis and the tiny bumps don't look that red. Thank you for your help. (Can't find how to upload pictures, you will need them).
Granular Pharyngitis. This is very common and responds to routine treatment
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
1. The images show a chronic granular pharyngitis, congestion over the palate, uvula and anterior tonsillar pillars. The patches are areas of chronically inflamed lymphoid (tonsil-like) tissue that is normally present in small islands throughout the throat. This is a very common condition that makes the throat sensitive and prone to repeated sore throats. The coated tongue is also very common.
2. This can be due to allergy, post nasal drip, reflux and mouth breathing. With the negative cultures and viral tests, the relation to oral sex is unlikley.
3. A routine course of anti-allergic medication, steroids, anti-reflux medication, medicated gargles and diet control will settle this down.
4. A Videolaryngoscopy (VL'Scopy) and stopping exposure to tobacco smoke will speed up recovery,
I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.
Regards.
