Suggest Treatment For Postural Hypotension
Question: Hi, My 84 year old father has Parkinson's disease. Takes Fludrocortisone daily in the morning. Takes Midodrine daily in am and pm. Recently following breakfast his blood pressure has fallen to 70/50 or 80/60 and he is unresponsive. After laying him down with legs elevated blood pressure returns to normal and no further episodes. This has been happening daily, right after breakfast. Is there some relationship between eating and blood pressure decrease only in the morning? Thank you
