This can cause cessation of growth of the requires bone causing it be be shorter than the Ulna bone beside it. This could lead to a possible Madelung deformity which can cause problems in worst movement, deformity at the wrist and pain.

Treatment options include fusion of the distal Ulna to stay as short as the radius or lengthening of the radius bone.

Conservative treatment has no role. Only surgery is indicated. Usually the surgery is done by dissing the Ulna with plate or lengthening the radius with bone graft.

Once the lengths of the radius and Ulna are effectively altered to the normal relationship then she can have neae normal wrist function.
