Suggest Treatment For Premature Ejaculation

Question: I'm 27yrs and i have been having premature ejaculation problems recently. Please advice on medications. Thx

Medications most commonly used for premature ejaculation (PME) are paroxetine and dapoxetine.

Paroxetine comes in 10mg, 20mg immediate release formulation and 12.5mg and 25mg controlled release formulations.

Dapoxetine come in 30mg and 60mg formulations.

But these are prescription drugs and to be used under doctor's supervision.

Drugs are started with the lower doses and increased depending on response.

Thanks for the follow-up query.

I usually start paroxetine 12.5 mg or dapoxetine 30 mg in my patients and increase the dose depending on the response.
Most of the patients respond to these respective doses of paroxetine/dapoxetine.

I prefer paroxetine because of its easy availability.

Dapoxetine has availability issues at some places.

You can consult your doctor for proper doses and prescription.
