Brief Answer:
Premature ejaculation can be treated with medicines and relaxation exercise

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM

I can understand your concern. Premature ejaculation (PME) is a distressing problem and it should be dealt with proper evaluation. You have been suffering from PME since last 5 years. In most patients suffering from premature ejaculation most common cause behind the problem is found to be anxiety. Anxiety during intercourse and underlying anxiety results in early ejaculation or poor control of ejaculation. As per my opinion 3 minutes time is good but if you are not enjoying or having poor orgasm then there is need for treatment.

So best thing that can be done in this problem is to reduce the anxiety associated with sexual intercourse. Try to spend more and more time in foreplay and this will help to result in strong ejaculation and will maintain it. Relaxation exercises and yoga also helps to relieve anxiety and will improve the condition.

For premature ejaculation medicines like SSRIs especially Paroxetine or Sertraline in high doses are very useful. These medicines help to control anxiety and also delay the ejaculation. The medicines are safe to use but should be taken regularly to see their effects. Newer SSRI medicine like Dapoxetine is found to be useful in PME in a number of studies. The drug is usually advised to be taken about 1 hour before intercourse. These drugs can help to improve the problem. Visit a psychiatrist for prescription of these drugs.

Herbal medicines like Tantex Royal, Confido are found to be very useful in PME, but there are not much studies supporting their effects. They are safe to use and in my practice I have seen improvement in a number of patients with these medicines. These are herbal medicines so need no prescription.

No need to worry about your problem. With control of anxiety and medicines your symptoms will improve. I hope this helps you. Please ask again for more doubts.

Thanks
