Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question...
The symptoms suggestive of sinus infection..which is affecting ventilation and drainage of your EARS leading to fluid in ear which is causing sound ..and decreased hearing..
i will tell you how..you know our ears are connected to back of nose through a tube called as Eustachian tube..which ventilates and drains the ear..since the sinus infection and nasal blockage affecting the function of the tube leading to fluid build up which is causing the sound and decreased hearing..your left ear is affected more than right..
the head and sinus pressure are due to sinus infection..
this could be easily treated by following measures...
1) A course of antibiotics to clear sinus infection..
2) analgesics for head and sinus pressure..
3) nasal decongestant like oxymetazoline drops for relieving obstruction of nose
4) oral decongestants like levocetrizine with phenylephrine to relieve nasal and sinus obstruction..also help in draining the ear fluid and thus relieve ear block and sound..and improve hearing..
5)steam inhalation to improve sinus drainage and relieve sinus and head pressure
6)most important is the Valsalva manoeuvre is performed by moderately forceful attempted exhalation against a closed airway that is keep the mouth closed, pinching nose ..you can hear a pop up sound ..this open the eustachian tube and allow the fluid in the ear clear and ventilate the ear..there by helps in relieving abnormal sound ..improve in block and you can get back to normal hearing..
7) the swelling on left side of throat could be an enlarged lymph node secondary to previous attack of throat infection which has subsided..it takes some time for the swelling to come down..nothing to worry..
Am sure you will be alright with the above measures..wish you a speedy recovery..take care..
if you are happy with my answer ..you can close the discussion and rate my answer..
