Suggest Treatment For Primary Nephrotic Syndrome

Posted on Wed, 6 May 2015
Question: I have a sister aged 22 years old and she has Nephrotic Syndrome FSGS. She first had it in October 2013 and the protein in urine showed 1484 mg/ 24 hours. The doctor recommended her to take Wysolone 65mg (steroids) for 3 months. After that we checked the report, it was all normal.

1 week back they went for vacation and she went for a normal checkup and again the protein in urine was quite high ( 988 mg / 24 hours) and the doctor again recommended to take the steroids for 45 days daily.

So Doctor, I want to know, will homeopathy course help her in curing this syndrome?

Kindly suggest and waiting for your reply

Regards

Brief Answer:
Minimal Change Disease [ MCD ]

Detailed Answer:
Dear
Thanks for contacting with your concern and do let me know about following points for better understanding of the disease:

1. At her age (22 years) it seems to be a case of Adult FSGS ( focal segmental glomerulosclerosis) thus

i. Is it diagnosed as primary nephrotic syndrome (where no cause is established) or secondary to any associated etiology like
. Obesity ( her weight)
. Diabetes mellitus (bllood sugar value)?

ii. Was any kidney biopsy done, [ nephrologist opinion]?

iii. Are there any associated abnormal parameters usually seen in the disease, like
. High cholesterol?
. High blood pressure?
. Swelling in feets/eyes?
. Low Albumin level?

iv. Please revert back with your clarifications.
