Suggest Treatment For Profuse Sweating, Low Grade Fever And Body Pain

Question: Thank you. My husband is an international pilot who came home 7 days ago from Ecuador. He had a terrible cough, sweating, low grade fever (100.00 ora bit below), body aches and still has the symptoms. Three days ago I woke with similar symptoms including diarrhea. My doctor said it is probably a virus and to treat the symptoms with Mucinex cough (the newest 12 hour coverage, drink lots of liquids including pedialite, take 3 ibuprofen with 2 extra strength Tylenol with half a cup of coffee every 6 hours. I still feel horrible and this hacking cough, headache, body aches are the same. I treated diarrhea with Imodium and it is gone. My husband still has his cough and body aches for about 8 days. Help, please.

hello! I have been through your question.
Related your concern and your husband and based on that your husband has been in Ecuador I think you should meet an ID specialist to exclude some diseases that
exist in this location doing some specific tests , as well CBC, abdominal ultrasound, stool culture,AST, ALT, bilirubin, thoracal X-ray and to take a prompt treatment as well.
