Suggest Treatment For Prolapsed Uterus

Question: Please give me advice hope you can follow me! - My mum is 60 years of age she does have a prolapse and is currently waiting to get an operation to sort bladder! We are in Donegal XXXXXXX so Health service is a bit of a joke here she could be waiting another year for that!! but she has been in general good health up until the 19th of January she started vomiting went to doctor they said she had a kidney infect then she got worse could not keep any food down and constant headaches down right side of head, eye so back to doctor they gave her antibiotics didn't help then got sent to er for further tests they did a blood test first doc said something showed up in blood thought it was an inflammed blood vessel behind eye so she said it was very serious gave her 8 steroids then and there sitting in er for another few hours eventually did a ct scan and came back clear another doc said said she actually just had a bad sinus infect! came home still vomiting unable to keep any food or water down lost over a stone in weight! I eventually talked her into going to now doc as very ill who said maybe the antibiotic was too strong she has been talking cocktail of paracetamol, antibiotic n anti sickness tabs so she took her off Augmentin and gave her something else which did help as she slowly began to eat n keep food down was beginning to get on mend then started coughing get flu symptoms went to doctor yesterday has a very serious kidney infect and chest infect she constantly coughing throwing up can't eat again!! she told the doc she couldn't take Augmentin so she gave her Clavamel which I have discovered tonight is same thing!! such an ignorant doctor! They will be getting a rant on Monday don't worry!! she now at this moment is still coughing up and being sick and has now diarrhoea she doesn't seem to be getting any better!! Could this be linked to her Prolapse? something more worrying? Obviously her immune system is low the doctors all saying different things all her tests apart from urine seem to come back clear at my wits sorry for rant!! any advice would be appreciated She now at stage doesn't want to go back to doctor!!

I understand your sufferings and will try to help you out within my capabilities in this regard.
Prolapsed uterus according to the stage can cause Urinary symptoms like urgency, hesitancy,frequency and infection. It can also cause rectal symptoms like constipation.
So, Urinary tract infection(Kidney) may be because of this, though there are other common causes. Coming to diarrhea, Augmentin can cause loose motions in some people who cannot tolerate the medication.
I think the symptoms you have mentioned here are very much related to urinary tract infection with upper respiratory tract infection rather than any other disease.
So, please go for urine examination with culture and sensitivity test for proper antibiotic. And a surgery for prolapse may cure of this instantly. Please consult a doctor and take time to explain him all your history for further management. Details regarding associated illnesses like Hypertension, diabetes & others if any would have helped us to suggest you more.
