Duration of menstrual cycle means distance between beginning day of one cycle to beginning day of next cycle. In her case 8 March, 31 March and 22 April are last 3 cycle's first day so her duration of period is 22-23 days. It is not necessary that during this period bleeding should be only for 2 days, even 4-5 days bleeding can be considered normal and for 32 days cycle 3 days bleeding can be considered normal.
But she has short cycle and more bleeding so it is not absolutely normal.
Whenever hormonal investigations are needed, it is done on second day of menses means if your wife next menses starts on 14th May, she should be investigated on 15th or 16th may.
Don't be nervous, pregnancy is determined by nature, you should continue attempt. Next fertile days are 7th to 11th day of her cycle (beginning day of menses should be counted as 1st day). Keep all points in mind this time what I told previously.
I suggest consulting gynecologist for her check up once. You should use ovulation testing kit. This will help you to determine fertile days very accurately. If her ovulation is occurring on 8th day of cycle, chances of pregnancy are high. If her ovulation is occurring late, there is reduction in chances of pregnancy due to short luteal phase. Already I taken print out of some of your important suggested documents.
I think she will get noemal period of 27 days + or - 3 days is acceptable.

we came back from tour on 29 th morning around 1500 km bus travel.
