Brief Answer:
If bothersome symptoms - for removal of uterus and cervix

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare magic. I am Dr Ramadevi wani. I will be answering your concerns today.
Do you have urinary complaints? Is the uterus protruding out of your vagina? Is it bothering you (heavyness, constipation protruding completely outside the vagina ,backache etc, ? If you have no symptoms or mild symptoms you do not need any surgery.
If it is causing you symptoms then you need treatment.
There are several ways of treating this.
1.     It could be with kegel exercises and pessary if you do not like surgery.
2.     Removal of uterus along with cervix and vaginal fixation
3.     Partial removal of cervix and fixing it with ligaments
4.     In young women suspension of uterus back to its position

If it is causing bothersome symptoms then I suggest you go for removal of uterus and cervix with fixation of vagina.
If you have no symptoms, you do not need any surgery.
I hope this helps.
If you have any further queries, do write to me through Healthcare Magic. I will be happy to answer.

Brief Answer:
Robotic surgery is quite safe and recovery is fast after the surgery.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
Yes for the symptoms you have you definitely need surgery.
You should not worry about getting the cervix removed. This would probably help the surgeon perform the prolapse corrective fixation surgery better.
Why do you want to keep the cervix? What is bothering you? If you can answer this I will be able to help you better.
Robotic surgery is quite safe and recovery is fast after the surgery. The recovery is faster than the open surgery. So relax.
I wish you good luck for the surgery.
Do keep me updated about the surgery. If you have any further queries, do write to me. I will be happy to answer.
Regards,
Dr Ramadevi Wani
