Suggest Treatment For Psoriasis At The Top Of Genitals

Question: Hello, i started having psoriasis at the top of my genitals 1 year ago, it was a verry small spot and didn t hurt at all, i now have it also (since few months) under the left elbow (somewhat large) and few small spots on the face . What kind of treatment would you recommend and what can i do to prevent worsening? Thank you!

I understand that you have psoriasis for past one year and it is progressing. First of all I want to know how the diagnosis was made ? You made the diagnosis yourself or any dermatologist diagnosed it ? Was any skin biopsy done ? For limited psoriasis like what you have, the best line of management will be topical steroids and emmolients.
Psoriasis is known to worsen with stress, infections, smoking and alcohol intake and by taking some medicines like pain killers, beta blockers, lithium etc. Relaxation exercises like yoga and meditation and a healthy life style and exercise regime is beneficial. Psoriatics are more prone for high blood pressure, hypercholesterolemia, and coronary heart diseases. So start lifestyle modifications from now.

I didn t put face cause it s hard to have good view since they are verry small red spot and seems to have resorb after few sun exposition, but they located nera nose, between the eyes an little bit on right jaw.

Photos look like psoriasis alright. So you have limited plaque type of psoriasis. I would treat you with a potent steroid ointment for your elbow lesion and mid potent steroid cream for genital and face lesions. You should always keep the skin moisturized. The precautions mentioned in the last answer should be followed. Once you get good improvement , I would probably maintain you on calcipotriol ointment.
You need to consult a dermatologist. There are different modalities of treatment and each doctor will have their favourites. Stick to one good dermatologist and follow up as advised.
