Suggest Treatment For Psoriasis Other Than Immuno-suppressant Drugs
Question: Is there any good/new treatment for severe psoriasis other than immuno-suppressant drugs? Does dead sea salt bath help curing or controlling psoriasis? (Few months back when I had sea bath for 2-3 days during goa vacation, I experienced sudden improvement in some patches. Is it a coincident or sea water helps?)
Brief Answer:
Oral drugs are immunosuppressive, dead sea salt bath is beneficial
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
Most of the oral drugs used in psoriasis are immunosuppressive as the basic mechanism is to reduce the hyperactive cells and decrease the inflammation.
All the new drugs available are also immunosuppressive.
Regarding the second question, yes, dead sea salt definitely has a role in controlling psoriasis but to a limited effect and it also varies from person to person.
If it is feasible you can go for it.
Regards.
