Information

Detailed Answer:
Hello -

Without being able to examine you, this sounds like a viral upper respiratory tract infection.

I don't know to what extent your eyes are puffy and red: If the white parts of the eyes are pink and there is clear discharge, it may be a viral conjunctivitis for which you can try hot wet compresses on your closed eyes several times a day.

If you are on no daily medications to contradict taking a decongestant (such as heart and blood pressure problems and urinary retention) consider taking pseudoephedrine.

You can also try lessening your sinus congestion by using a salt water rinse - either nettipot with saline rinse or prepared saline such as Simply Saline which you can buy at the store.

If the redness around your eyes is spreading, then do go in to an urgent care clinic or ER to be seen in person.

I hope this information helps. Please let me know if I can provide further information or clarification.
