Suggest Treatment For Pustule On Knee

Question: Hi, My name is XXXXXXX and I have a 1.2 years daughter. She gets a pustule on her knee, it is not so painful but growing and she is not able to crawl with that leg. Although she is using other leg to crawl. I called her Pediatrician and he was out of town so I consult with a doctor near to my home, he is not a Pediatrician. He advised to give her novamox (plain) syrup two times a day and massage with hot cloth on that part. Could you please suggest if this is fine?

Dear Mr XXXXXXX
It is likely to be Folliculitis(infection of hair follicle). You can continue giving Novamox Syrup twice a day.
I would also suggest the following
1. T Bact Ointment for local application over the pustule thrice a day
2. Hot water fomentation
3. Syrup Ibugesic plus 2 ml thrice a day
Keep me updated about progress.
Take care
