Suggest Treatment For Radiating Pain Going Down In The Left Leg

Question: My grandson, 22 years old, has had discomfort in one testicle over the last year. He was raised on a ranch, worked as a hunting guide, consequently many years in the saddle. No evidence of anything serious as the result of an MRI a while back, but now has (what sounds like) nerve pain down the left leg. Just trying to help him figure out what kind of specialist he should see here in Bend, Oregon?

Radiating pain going down in the left leg, with this history suggests either he has a nerve impingement and a nerve pain OR he has a vascular blood supply problem and has the pain. Both have different outcomes and different specialists deal with that there in Oregon.

I need to know more about pain. It remains all time or comes and go?
What triggers it? What relieves it? Any association with walking, running?

Also tell me what is the status of discomfort in the testes right now? Is it still there or it is resolved?
