Brief Answer:
Can be canker sore.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely a canker sore.It can be due to deficiency of vitamin B12 or folic acid deficiency or due to taking acidic foods or allergy.
You can manage this by;
Rinse mouth with warm salt water.
You can apply gels containing choline salicylate.
Taking supplements containing Vitamin B12 , folic acid and zinc.
If that is not helping then applying corticosteroid like triamcinolone mouth paste will be helpful.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.

the back of my tongue now has what looks like worts?
Brief Answer:
It can be most likely due to glossitis.
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
Thank you for your follow up.
You problem can be most likely due to glossitis, inflammation of tongue. It can be due to vitamin deficiency or infection or both.
In such case i would recommend antibiotics like azithromycin . Oral hygeine should be maintained. You can use warm saline for mouth wash or gargle. chewable vitamin C and vitamin B complex supplements should be taken also.
In case swelling is more oral corticosteroids will be helpful. It is better to do a blood routine to rule out signs of infection or anemia. B12 level also should be checked.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
