Question: Hey i've had a rash on my penis for the last week. Been with my current girlfriend about 4 months, never had this happen before. Concerned about herpes. Felt like just dry skin at first, so i put lotion on it and it got better, but it won't go away.

I am so sorry to hear about this rash. I have looked at the images and this is not suggestive of an active STD. I will go more with a possible irritation. Unfortunately, this will not resolve spontaneously or over night. You will need to exercise some more patience. Also, dry to always keep this area clean, dry, airy and avoid moisture.

Thank you. It started out last thursday. After my girlfriend and i had sex the skin on the underside of my penis got really red, dry, and flaky. It's been red still but the flakiness had stopped. Should i avoid using lotion?
