Suggest Treatment For Rashes All Over The Neck And Face

Question: my son is breaking out with a rash all over his neck and chin and side of his face I'm not sure what it is and if he should get to an ER immediately
Hi
It could be a drug rash or viral exanthem.
Either consult a doctor or upload the photographs of the affected areas under the premium section of the site so that I can have a clearer picture of the condition and can guide you accordingly.
Vote thanks if found useful. Regards.

my son is breaking out with this rash I have been putting hydrocortisone cream on it and just gave him some allergy medicine but not sure if I need to get him to ER immediately
Brief Answer:
Does not look concerning
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for uploading the images. It does not look concerning to me and I would not worry. I would not insist you to put hydrocortisone cream although you can use some antifungal like Candid (clotrimazole) powder or lotion topically. You can also apply some emollient like aloe vera lotion. Give him some antiallergic like cetirizine once daily for the next few days. Hopefully it would resolve in 3-5 days.
If still anxious, you can feel free to visit the ER although I doubt if that would be necessary.
Regards

OK but also what you can't see is that some of the bumps are raised and puss filled and he scratched them til they burst so is this allergy medicine is not good for it and where can I find that allergy medicine you just mentioned
Brief Answer:
Antibiotic ointments can be applied. Visit ER.
Detailed Answer:
If that is the case it would be advisable to apply some antibiotic ointment like Mupirocin while you take him to the ER for consultation.
The mentioned antiallergic cetirizine is an over the counter medication and can be obtained from any pharmacy. Clotrimazole is over the counter too.
