
Suggest Treatment For Rashes And Blistering In The Upper Thigh Area

Question: I have a rash that is now blistering on the backside of my upper left thigh - started with high fever on Wednesday afternoon (quick onset with chills) - woke up yesterday with rash. Treated with Neosporin, Cortisone creams

It seems to be either shingles or irritant contact dermatitis.

Is the rash associated with burning or pain?
Is the rash present anywhere else on the body?

I did not apply anything prior to thrash appearing. It's not constant but I do have the sensation of heat in that area. I see no evidence of the rash anywhere else.

If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to take antiviral medication like tablet valciclovir 1 gram thrice daily for 7 days.
It is a prescription drug and you need to stop the doctor in person to get it.
