Suggest Treatment For Rashes In The Pubic Area
Question: I started with what seemed like a rash in my pubic area a few weeks ago that turned into a small postule. Within a day or so it popped while in my sleep I can't tell you what color fluid it drained. On Thursday it became a slightly elevated bump that has been sore. While it was slightly elevated it's been oozing, I can it's oozing because the hair gets stuck and what looks like white liquid oozes out of it. Any help would be appreciated it,
Brief Answer:
Oral and topical antibiotic for a week.
Detailed Answer:
hello. thank you for writing to us.
i have gone through your query and i have noted your concern.
This seems like a bacterial skin infection.
I would suggest you to take an oral antibiotic for a week e.g either cephalexin 500mg Or dicloxacillin 500mg, 3x times daily for 7 days. Topically you may use an antibiotic ointment e.g either neosporin ointment Or mupirocin ointment, 2x daily for few days.
