He has had the rash for about 10-14 days. It was originally on his cheeks and now is on his entire face and behind his right ear. There is no discharge, no heat, no visible irritation other than the presence of the bumps. I will upload a photo
Brief Answer:
get it examined by dermatologist
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX welcome again. Thanks for the details and photograph.
I have gone through the details and photograph. It looks like dermatitis which has got infection (although can not be confirmed by looking at photograph, direct examination by magnifying lens is required). Other possibility is acne. You need to get it examined by a dermatologist for definitive diagnosis as treatment will differ in different conditions.
In case of acne or infection, Your son will require a course of oral antibiotics (doxycycline is generally given) along with topical application of antibiotic ointment for a week. In case of absence of infection steroids ointment is prescribed. Meet your dermatologist and get the treatment prescribed.
I hope my reply will help you. Please write to us for more information and follow up queries. I wish good health to your son and whole family. Thanks
