Brief Answer:
Multiple possibilities need to be evaluated

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Welcome to HCM.
I am Dr V XXXXXXX Sr Consultant Dermatologist.

I have noted your concerns and will do my best to help resolve them.

As stated, your friend is asthmatic. As such, I am very much inclined to think in terms of a medication related rash. If that be the case, then either change of one or more medicines might be needed.

It is possible to have normal blood tests despite an allergic reaction to some medication.

One also needs to consider certain other common situations where a rash on hands and feet can appear. It is especially important if the person has been in contact with certain object/activity that caused contact with an allergy producing substance. It could also be due to a response to an infection elsewhere in the body, particularly viral conditions.

The treating doctor always has something on mind while ordering tests and it is advisable to follow the prescribed treatment.

However, for the present, one can take an anti allergic preparation like Tab LEVOCETIRIZINE 5 mg a day for next 7 days and cold compresses for the affected areas. These will help the person.

I am sure you have been helped by the advice and will take suitable action for early recovery

We wish you and your friend the very best.

Brief Answer:
The tests will be useful

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Welcome with additional information on the case.
It will be helpful and advisable to go for the tests as the results will measure the current status of different body systems and establish a baseline against which future progress can be measured.

A biopsy means a test in which a small bit of tissue is removed to assess the health of the whole part and usually proves much less troublesome after the procedure than previously thought.

I am sure, you will consider these suggestions before taking a decision.

Our best wishes, always!
