Suggest Treatment For Rashes On The Body
Question: I am a cook for years and its is hot in the kitchen upward 94 and up and many times I'm a sweaty mess. I now have a rash for the last few months that does not want to go away. The only relieve I have is the hottest shower I can take. Looking this up on the Web STIPULATES I have jock itch or ring worm. What kind of soap do you recommend. After a hot shower I use 91% Isopropyl alcohol. That's fun.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Where is your rash - please describe it's borders (include penis vs inner thighs only?) and what it looks like (are the borders irregular? do the borders move over time and does the center of the rash clear? By relief do you mean that the rash itches or is it hot, tender, and painful?

Thank you Dr. for responding,
It started around my belt line and now seems to climb up and now about 10" long and about 2 or 3" above my navel.
I would take a pic but don't know how to post.
Do have a tad bit in my inner thighs.
Note: I use Irish spring bath soap, and wash my cloths with All oxi and shampoo with Head and Shoulders.
Thanks XXXXXXX

Hello XXXXXXX
This could be a number of different causes.
Depending on what it looks like, it could be a heat rash, or it could be a fungal infection. There are other causes too, unrelated to heat and moisture.
If you take pictures with your cell phone, you can upload them by clicking on the button on the right side of the screen that says "upload reports". If you can find someone to help you do that, please take pictures both close up and of the overall rash.
You can also send pictures via email by contacting the customer care dept. (there email is somewhere at the top of bottom of your screen).
Without having good quality pictures to go on, I can share some general information.
First please let me know:
Is the rash itchy or tender or hot to touch?
