yes.. i have eczema... n my eczema is very dry, itchy and skin dores out like flakes... but these rashes of baby r not itchy...
excema is supposed to be itchy na.. moreover he was drooling a lot due to teething since few days and used to wet his hands and chest completely with saliva... i have a doubt that even drooling can be the reason...
and his pediatrician saod that it's atopic... and so he prescribed cetrizine and MMSone...
i used MMSone for 3-4 days but the rashes showed no signs of recovery... i applied coconut oil in hands and there was mild positive effect.. but i m afraid to apply it on chest as he might catch cold...

Brief Answer:
Seems to be endogenous eczema, mild steroid and moisturising lotion
Detailed Answer:
According to your complaints it seems to be endogenous eczema and atopic dermatitis is a variety of endogenous eczema.
Sometimes itching is not very obvious in little children.
Saliva can definitely worsen eczema and 4 days is too less a time to see the efficacy of drugs.
If I was his treating doctor I would recommend you to apply a mild steroid like clobetasone cream on the affected area twice daily along with frequent and liberal application of a moisturising lotion like cetaphil restoraderm lotion on this entire body.
Besides this use a mild soap like moisturex syndet bar or nusoft for bathing him.
Also use lukewarm water for bathing him instead of hot water, avoid direct contact of woollen clothes, avoid heaters , avoid dust and pets and keep his body as much moisturised as possible.
