Suggest Treatment For Rashes On The Wrists
Question: I have an itchy red raised small rash on wrists and torso for 3 weeks .I was kayaking in a body of water with tall reeds growing in the water. Felt myself being bitten. thought it was chiggers, How long does the chigger rash last?
Brief Answer:
48 to 96 hours
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The rash that could be been from the chiggers could last from 48 hours to 96 hours. You need anti itch lotion to apply over it like Calamine. It is important to observe the rash if it gets severe with pustules and weeping. If it happens you need to get anti biotic or anti septic cream over it although rarely.
Hydrocortisone 1% generally helps during the initial stages for quicker healing. You can also use it right now available over the counter.

I have had this as I posted in my question for 3 weeks. So what else could this be I felt the bites still on my wrist and front torso right at my rib cage same for 3 weeks. So this cannot be chiggers. So this does not answer my question.
