Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Candidal Infection Of Penis

Question: hi.
Was a case of Penile Candidal balano posthitis from dermatologist ,prescribed with Diflucan & clotrimazole for 3 weeks after finishing that the symptoms went off and came back after a month, Again repeated the prescription course the symptoms diminished.Some how i felt something else may be wrong so went and consulted Urologist who said there may be underlying infection so prescribed Cefuroxime ,Tolpa D, Pan 40 for a week. Then everything got cleared..till now..pls suggest further on how to take care about the penis.

Thanks for posting query.
It seems that you might be having Candidal infection with super added bacterial infection giving you trouble again and again.
Now with oral anti-fungal and and antibiotic medicine you are alright.
But recurrence is common with fungal infection so take care that there should not be recurrence.
To prevent recurrence, please follow following instructions,
1, Continue applying anti-fungal cream for some time,
2, Clean penis by averting foreskin and remove smegma daily while taking shower.
3, Keep local part clean, dry and airy.
4, Avoid perspiration and wear cotton inner wears which will absorb perspiration.
5, Keep local part well shaved.
6, Avoid using same towels using by your family members.
6, If require go for anti-fungal treatment to your partner as well.
