Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Depression
Question: I AM 53 YEARS OLD AND IN LAST 20 YEARS I HAD ATTACK OF DEPRESSION AFTER 4 OR 3 YEARS AND I TAKE THR REXIPRA 10 FOR TWO TO THREE MONTH AND GET OUT OUT OF THE ILLNESS. MY QUERY IS FOR HOW LONG I SHOULD TAKE THE MEDICINE REXIPRA 10. I TAKE ONLY ONE REXIPRA 10 DAILY.

The antidepressant drugs (rexipra in your case) are usually prescribed for 6 months after complete remission of symptoms.
Since you are having recurrent depression, i would advice you to take rexipra for a longer period.
Most of the treatment guidelines recommend drug treatment to be given for atleast 3-5 years in case of recurrent depression.
You should discuss this with your treating psychiatrist.
