Brief Answer:
Duloxetine is known to cause loose stools as side effect

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related doubts

I can understand your concern. Duloxetine can cause loose stools in a lot of individuals especially during first few days of starting the drug. You are 80 and the risk is more in your case because of change in drug metabolism.

If the loose stools remain persistent then stop the medicines and talk to your doctor as soon as you can. Take plenty of fluids to maintain the electrolyte balance.

Thanks. Take care

I will stop the duloxetine tomorrow as I have already taken 1 for today and will stop it forever & see what happens. Thank you!
I stopped the Bisoprolol today (did not take todays tab). What is it for & why am I taking it? Can I stop this forever too? I am not depressed except that I was because condition caused no life value, however, thigh pain gone due to 2 epidurals by Dr Nagpal. Now back & feet (no fat pads) are only problems, but neither causes screams as thigh pain did.

Brief Answer:
Yes you can stop Duloxetine.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for asking again

Yes you can stop it without any worries.

Bisoprolol is commonly used in hypertension and also in heart failure. So most likely they have prescribed the drug to you for high blood pressure. If your blood pressure is under control then you can stop it forever. But talk to your doctor before stopping the drug completely and you BP should be in optimal range.

Your pain is under control and have no significant symptoms, so you can stop taking Duloxetine without any second thought.

Thanks. Take care
