Question: I have had pneumonia 3 times in the last 1 1/2 yrs, with the last 11 mo. ago. I have been caughing alot lately, loose clear phlem. Any reason to worry?

Recurrent pneumonia causes inflammatory changes in lungs an this can lead to post infectious bronchitis.
So your coughing, phlegm etc are mostly due to bronchitis.
So get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test).
PFT will not only diagnose bronchitis but it will also tell you about severity of the disease and treatment is based on severity only.
You may need inhaled bronchodilators (formoterol or salmeterol) and inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) (budesonide or fluticasone).
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
