Brief Answer:
Can be recurrent infection of the tonsils or the pharynx
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the follow up,
Recurrent infection of the throat can be recurrent tonsil infection or recurrent infection of the pharynx( throat ) in general.
You have to get yourself examined by an ENT specialist to come to the right diagnosis since only examination will tell.
If the tonsils are the culprit then removal of the tonsils can be considered if the problem is too much to bear. But if the entire pharynx is getting infected then it should be managed with medical treatment only... using antibiotics as and when required.
To bring down the number of infections you can follow some general measures like warm salt water gargling 5-6 times every day , avoid eating or drinking cold foods , avoid air conditioining and fan, remember to drink plenty of fluids and keep yourself well hydrated.
