Brief Answer:
Recurrent yeast infection. Follow the advice.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

According to your information, it is suggestive of Recurrent Yeast Infection. One vaginal swab test and drug sensitivity test will be worthwhile.

TREATMENT: 1) Oral anti-fungal medication (Fluconazole) or Vaginal suppository like CLINGEN (combined Clindamycin and Clotrimazole) can be used for 5 to 7 days to eliminate yeast infection. Kindly, consult with doctor for prescription.

2) Use vaginal moisturizer cream like RepHresh pH gel or VAGISIL cream to avoid repeated infection and maintain vaginal pH. Maintain genital hygiene properly.

3) Wear only cotton clothes. Don't wear any tight fitting clothes to avoid repeated friction/ irritation. Take sound sleep adequately.

4) Take healthy diet with anti oxidant (like Vitamin -E or C, Selenium, Zinc etc) supplements. Drink plenty of water or juice for better systemic circulation. You must LIMIT Salty/ Sugary/ Fatty foods.

5) Avoid chemical cosmetics, perfume or scented bath products around genital area. Keep the area mostly dry. You also avoid unprotected sexual intercourse with chemical lubricant until problem is resolved.

Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.

Wish your good health and take care yourself.

Dr S Patra

Take complete prescription from your doctor.

Hello,

Thanks for follow up query.

1) Use vaginal moisturizer cream like RepHresh pH gel or VAGISIL cream to avoid repeated infection. It is more effective. It should be used in the outer and slightly inner part of vagina.

2) Above medicines are prescription only. You should consult with doctor for complete prescription. Metronidazole may be available over the counter.
