Question: Hello, Thank you. My father has allergic cough and cold (this is just Fyi). Until today there has been no test conducted since not advised by doctor. He used to suffer from frequent cough since the age of 3.6 yrs. Doctor prescribed Cipla Seroflo Inhaler (2 puff twice daily) we gave this to him for around 9 to 10 months. We stopped it around 10 days back after doctors advice. Doctor used to prescribe other cough medicines whenever he used to have severe cough (for e.g. Vizylac / Protussa / Cedex / Mox etc). He starts coughing whenever he plays for longer time and also when he laughs for long time. He most of the time during the day has itching throat. As on today he is having only Calcimax syrup (5 ml twice daily). His diet is as below :- He is very finicky when it comes to eating food. We have to forcibly feed him. 2 glasses of toned milk daily (1 in morning and 1 glass in evening with Horlicks) -- Should we now start giving him full cream milk. Afternoon he eats Dal and Rice. Night he eats dal and 1 chapati. We don't give him any fruits fearing he might contract cough. Incase we have to give him then we have to forcibly feed him. Please advice the diet plan and what should we do to keep him healthy and overcome the cough problem.

Himalaya Septilin syrup 5 ml twice a day will also boost immunity. Continue giving her for 3-4 months 7. Warm saline gargling: To a glass of lukewarm water add 2 spoon of salt and make the baby gargle throat with it twice a day. II) FEW SPECIAL DIETS AND RECIPES 1.Veg soup: Contents: tomato -2, potato-1small, Onion - 1 small, Carrot-1 small. Preperation: Wash all veggies properly peel potato, onion and carrot. To this add powdered mixture of rest of ingredients grinded in mixer ( pista, almond, khajur, cardomom). Supplement baby breakfast with this recipe, and also can be consumed at night when baby is hungry. In this way her quota for milk will also be fulfilled.
