Question: How about a comment. The person that's dealing with pancreatitis for over ten years. I had the same problem with pancreatitis for about 12 years. I went to the Baptist Hospital. They removed my gall bladder and I haven't had a problem with Pancreatitis since that surgery. Thank god.

Brief Answer:
Following answer to your query...

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX!
I read your query very carefully.

What you were experiencing is a typical complication of gallbladder sludge or stones (is called cholelithiasis), that is manifested with epigastric pain that is spread through the chest and back. The cholelithiasis is complicated with mild chronic pancreatitis and the removal of gallbladder will stop the pancreatic damage.

I would suggest to continue the follow up with your gastroenterologist with pancreatic enzymes (amylazemia and lipasemia) and abdominal ultrasound every sixth months.

In order to help the healing process of pancreas I would recommend:
- Stop consuming alcohol
- Eat often and small portions
- Eat fresh foods especially salads, vegetables and white meat (fish chicken)
- Avoid fatty meals
- Drink plenty of water
- Use creon in case of indigestions or abdominal bloating

Hope this was of help!
Wish you health!
