Brief Answer:
A picture and following info are needed...

Detailed Answer:
Hi my dear,

You are saying to have a very painful neck, red, swollen with a line going down to your shoulder blade.

Can you please provide a picture of the affected area?

Can you please tell if you have blisters along the red and swollen line?

Any history of recent trauma? spondyloarthrosis?

If no blisters present, then, this painful red and swollen ling along down to your shoulder blade might be due to spondyloarthrosis. In this case, applying voltaren cream locally can help together with oral voltaren.

Looking forward to have the requested info in for a more specific advice!

Detailed Answer:
Hi my dear,

1. You can send the pictures at the following e-mail address:

YYYY@YYYY

with subject line: "Attn to Dr.Albana Sejdini"

2. From what you are saying with no previous history of trauma and no blisters, less likely to be from shingles.

Most probably it is due to spondyloarthrosis or if only located in your skin, might be dermatitis.

3. By the way, can you please tell if you are taking any medication on regular basis? any personal history of chronic illness?

Looking forward to have the picture in for a more specific advice!

Brief Answer:
No signs for shingles;possible acute inflammation of intervertebral disc...

Detailed Answer:
Hi back,

I have just received your images and noted the red area in your neck down to your shoulder blades.

No sign for shingles. It seems an acute inflammation of intervertebral disc of neck to upper back level. I advise to run an X-ray of the spinal cord where the affection is located.

Take pain killer orally, apply anti-inflammatory cream locally. Gentle massaging can help.

Can discuss it further with your doctor or get an immediate evaluation by rheumatologist.

Hope it helped!
