Brief Answer:
Swollen toe could be due to infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Red and swollen toe could be due to infection and associated inflammation. In my opinion, you should take Antibiotic like Clindamycin capsule along with anti inflammatory tablet.
If possible, please attach the pic of your toe.
Some infections do not respond to routine medicines. Infection of lower limb requires good Antibiotic which acts on Gram positive bacteria.
If the BP is not controlled by Metoprolol, you should consult your physician for change of Antihypertensive tablet.
Nothing to worry. It will come down.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
