The big red blotch has been there for 2 weeks and the bump arrived more recently. There is also another red bump in between the two main ones but it is hard to see. What could they be?
Brief Answer:
Fungal infection
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query and photograph.
It is looking like fungal infection.
The area of groin is moist and is prone to develop these infections.
Treatment can be with oral antifungals as well as with topical antifungals.
Various antifungal powders like candid, clodid etc are availabe.
These can help reduce the moisture as well as control the infection.
You can try it in consultation with your doctor.
Please dont use any steroid, it can worsen your condition
Let me know if you have any
Wishing you good health,
Thank you

I agree that the blotch looks like fungal infection. I just wonder if the red bump is something else though. My main worry is herpes.
Brief Answer:
Not herpes
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Just relax its not herpes.
Herpes presents with water filled lesions.
Even that bump is fungal infection.
Just apply an antifungal cream and you will be relieved.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.
