Suggest Treatment For Red Bumps On My Penis
I have been with my current partner about 3 months. Prior to her I had been tested for everything (to include hsv1) and came back negative on all accounts. She also claims to have been tested and I have no reason to believe she is misleading me.
About 36 hours before I noticed the bumps we had very vigorous and extended sex (oral and penetrative). In that time I also switched shower gels and wore two pairs of brand-new underwear. Would this more likely be either a friction burn or dermatitis from new fabric dye/new soap, or could it possibly be herpes?
Also seeing that I tested negative for HSV1, if this was in fact primary herpes shouldn't I expect it to be a more noticeable case since I would have no antibodies in my system? Or does it not work that way? I've read some outbreaks can be so minor they are easily missed...
Thanks for your help!
I should also mention that they responded VERY favorably to neosporin and some cortisone cream.
May be due to friction or irritation.

Wear loose cotton inner wears.
See that there is no friction or irritation.
As the tests for herpes is negative, it is unlikely to be previous herpes infection. Antibodies may be negative in primary herpes.

If it subsides within 3 days it may not be herpes.Usually primary lesions may take longer duration. Moreover it is along a line.According to you they are not vesicles (water filled lesions) ,not painful or asymptomatic.
You can get examined by a doctor. If need be a smear for herpes can be taken .
