Suggest Treatment For Red Irritated Area On Buttocks

Question: The area of my buttocks where the two cheeks meet if very red and irritated. Also the area between by buttocks and my scrotum. In addition over the last couple days I have developed a rash on the inside of my upper thighs and the back and sides of my scrotum with many of the bumps having whiteheads. At first I thought it was simple irritation as I work on my feet close to 60 hours a week, but the rash and whiteheads have me worried it is something more serious. Is there a simple solution or should I visit an emergency room or attempt to book a visit with a dermatologist?

You might have developed fungal infection.
The area of groin is moist and is prone to develop these infections.
Treatment can be done with a combination of oral and topical antifungals.
Various antifungal powders are availabe.
These can help reduce the moisture as well as control the infection.
Please dont use any steroid, it can worsen your condition
I treat such cases with oral itraconazole and topical clotrimazole powder.
This gives excellent response.
You can try these in consultation with your doctor.
Just relax it's not an emergency.

Thank you for your response. Are the itraconazole and topical clotrimazole available over the counter? I took pictures of the area, but I can not figure out how to upload them to this conversation. Is there an easy way to do so?

Also, with the medications you recommended, how long does this condition usually take to clear up?

I uploaded pictures of the irritated area. I went to the local pharmacy and asked for the topical powder you recommended before I saw that it was prescription only and they recommended Lotrimin jock itch spray. Will this work? It is going to be very difficult for me to see a doctor with my work hours and the fact that I do not have any doctors in the area. Are there any other the counter remedies that will work? Are there any changes to my diet that will speed up recovery? Is it safe to continue physical activity such as running and hiking? Is it safe to continue sexual activity while this continues?

There is no need to do any alterations in diet.
It's better to avoid sexual activity till the lesions heal.
